The Perfect Korea Itinerary: 9 Days 8 Nights

As the saying goes: “So much to do, so little time”. Planning can be a hassle, especially when it comes to long holidays and countries you know deep down that you have to spend a minimum of 5 days there.

We’ve come up with a useful itinerary suitable for anyone to help you plan out which sights and attractions you shouldn’t miss!

DAY 1

Go off the beaten track and explore the beautiful island of Jeju. Enjoy a delicious dinner at Donsadon, which has earned the prestigious Michelin star.

DAY 2

Get a head start the next morning and see the sunrise as you hike Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak and explore the Manjanggul Cave. Then, make the most of your day by taking a Day Tour of Western Jeju to see some of its top tourist attractions. Depending on what kind of traveller you are, you can choose from a number of possible routes.

DAY 3

Head back to Seoul city and see the magnificent palaces of Imperial Korea, before heading down to the Bukchon Hanok Village to try on an authentic hanbok—a perfect Instagram opportunity!

DAY 4

Spend your fourth day in Korea exploring Seoul’s shopping scene. In Hongdae, you can see countless shops and boutiques where you can pick up some of your favourite Korean products. After lunch, explore the unique, novelty cafes in Itaewon. Then, maybe take a romantic detour and leave your own lock at Insadong.

DAY 5

Block out at least a whole day to get your blood pumping on the world’s steepest wooden roller coaster, along with other thrilling attractions at Korea’s largest and most exciting theme park. DAY 6

Enjoy a hearty breakfast of the famous Isaac Toast in Myeongdong, before taking a scenic day trip outside Seoul to Gangwon Province. Enjoy the fresh air and quirky sights of Nami Island and Petite France, where you can replay some of your favorite K-drama moments!

DAY 7

Don’t pass up the chance to see Korea’s incredible fall foliage from the peak of Mt. Seorak. Enjoy the cool, crisp weather as you hike through brightly colored trees, crystal clear ponds, and tranquil streams. Relax after an afternoon of hiking at the Itaewon Land Sauna.

DAY 8

Apart from great ski slopes, be sure to check out Korea’s one-of-a-kind Pyeongchang Trout Festival. Join hundreds of other travelers and families as they dig their own holes into the frozen lake to fish for their own lunch. Then head back to Seoul and enjoy dinner at Yoogane Chicken Galbi.

DAY 9

Take it easy on your last day in Korea by exploring the stops and shops close to your hotel. Enjoy one last hearty meal in Korea and have a traditional Korean breakfast at Mugyodong Bugeokukjib. Head to the airport in comfort and ease with the AREX train for your flight back to Singapore.
